"Laura Eubanks is the most gifted, creative landscape designer I’ve ever known. She is an artist with an innate design vision. She took one look at our tired-looking landscape and knew exactly how to work her magic to transform it. Working with the Design for Serenity team has been an absolute pleasure. From the very beginning all members of the team worked professionally and efficiently to install our landscape. We wanted the work done in phases and that was no problem. Laura was very sensitive to our needs and really listened to what we wanted. For each phase of the installation, the team always came when they said they would, worked hard and left the project area clean at the end of each day. I especially appreciated Laura’s attention to detail and the level of her communication with us. We are thrilled with the resulting landscape which gives us great pleasure. Several times a week people stop to comment on how attractive our front yard is and often ask to see the rest of the landscape. I never get tired of sharing it with others. We have been so satisfied with Laura that we keep thinking up new projects and she never disappoints. We hope to continue our relationship with Laura for many years to come."

"Our experience with Laura has been wonderful. She is an extremely creative designer and turned our "Plain Jane" backyard into a sprightly, colorful area of succulents and cacti. It is an area where we enjoy both entertaining and just relaxing." - Nancy K.
"After several years of extreme drought in Southern California, we became tired of our growing water bill and dying, sensitive lawn. By happenstance, I came across some great daily video tips from Laura Eubanks and Design for Serenity on how to work with water-wise plants - in particular, succulents.
I personally have never been into gardening, but her videos teaching tips and tricks that made it look so easy encouraged me to start working with succulents myself. Not soon after, I was working on making my entire backyard a drought tolerant landscape.
It wasn't long after that I said, "what are we going to do with our front yard?" We have a decent size front yard with a separate side strip that I wanted to re-landscape, get rid of my grass and install drip irrigation. This was too big of a job for us to do ourselves and I wanted a showpiece for my neighborhood. There was no hesitation and no question that we wanted Laura Eubanks and Design for Serenity to create a one-of-a-kind, water-wise "landscape for us.
Laura and her team were easy to work with. After an initial consultation, I was able to discuss the few "must haves" I wanted (bench, top-rate boulders, basalt fountain) and let her do the rest. If you want to micro-manage and have every detail drawn out, Laura is not the way to go. You choose Laura for her years of experience, her artistic and discerning eye, her professionalism, her budget-friendliness, and you get her great personality and enthusiastic team (including the rock -master, Greg) as a bonus.
Needless to say, we are thrilled with our piece of art that is now our front yard. As Laura says, "One More Lawn Gone!" and we couldn't be happier!"

"Laura came over and looked at my yard, we chatted a bit about my needs, goals and garden desires. I wasn’t, at that time, familiar with Laura or her Succulent Tapestries, but as she started talking about what she envisioned in my backyard I became more and more excited! Laura is a great communicator and I felt comfortable trusting her vision and expertise.
A very fun part of the early installation was having Debra Lee Baldwin come and shoot a couple videos (Succulent Design Secrets & How to Create a Succulent Pocket Garden) showcasing Laura’s artistry and unique approach to working and designing with succulents.
Laura started the design process by standing in my living room, looking at the garden from inside my house through the back glass doors and windows, listening to my likes and dislikes about the plants already there, and the view. Throughout the whole process, Laura was enthusiastic, up-beat and a joy to have in my home and garden. She and her crews worked tirelessly throughout the day and after each session, cleaned up the whole back yard! The results were spectacular and can be seen, and were featured in Country Gardens Magazine.
That was Phase 1. I had such a good experience and loved the results so much that I had Laura and crew return to redesign and install her vision in my front yard! The neighbors and I LOVED the result! I give Laura Eubanks and Design for Serenity my highest recommendation. Laura is so much more than just a landscaper. She is an artist and now, a friend." - Judy T.
"Working with Design For Serenity was a great pleasure from idea through installation! Greg designed and installed the perfect waterfall. Laura is a succulent expert and true artist as she arranges plants and rocks in pleasing designs. I have an amazingly beautiful and peaceful garden to rest and relax in. I also use Laura for garden maintenance keeping my garden well trimmed and wonderful throughout the year.
I highly recommend Design For Serenity!!"

"After being astonished by the videos and photos of their waterwise landscape designs and their creative use of succulents and rocks, we decided to hire Design For Serenity to enhance a section of our backyard. Laura, her crew (several of which were family members), and a group of volunteers worked cohesively and diligently. Under the guidance of Laura, the project area was quickly transformed into a serene garden that we enjoy daily. The positive comments on social media were no exaggeration. Design For Serenity- Roselyn and I thank you!"

"No weeds, no water, and no maintenance.” These were the design criteria we gave to Laura Eubanks when she began our landscape re-design in April of 2016.
Our front garden had been professionally designed back in 2003 in a Mediterranean scheme, but the recent drought cased us to rethink our use of water and consider plants that "drink responsibly.” We also wanted to spend more time enjoying our garden and less time maintaining it.
Laura came with the highest recommendation from a close friend who had just hired her to renovate her tired landscape in a neighboring San Diego suburb. She came to us prepared, enthusiastic and with a vision that only she could see. Watching her install her magical tapestry of succulents was like watching a fine artist paint.
Laura chose river rocks for her ribbons that mirrored the native rock found in our neighborhood and braided them artfully through her design.
Once yearly maintenance was recommended, but so far, we haven’t needed it. Everything looks fabulous more than a year after installation!
Thanks to Laura and her team for exceeding our wildest expectations!"

"Many years ago, I asked my boss for a letter of recommendation as I was moving to a new state. He wrote simply this: "Dear Sirs: Do yourself a favor and hire her."
If you are planning an installation of rock and succulent landscape, "do yourself a favor and hire Laura Eubanks, Design for Serenity." She and her husband Greg and their team are the most efficient, hard working group of people you could ever hope for. However, the most amazing part is the design expertise of Laura. She creates an artistic masterpiece in your yard. You will not be disappointed. She knows her succulents inside and out!"

"We are thrilled with our new garden by Laura and her delightful and hard working team! We had 8 house guests this weekend and every one of them raved about it. We were so happy. In addition to the beautiful job Design for Serenity did, they arrived when they had told us they would, worked diligently and finished up in the estimated time. We have found those qualities sadly lacking recently."
